Stephen is not only a CUSTOM GRASS PLANTER AND LAND CONSULTANT; but, he speaks from experience in all he does. He lives a very diversified rural way of life with wife, Beth, and his personal life reflects what he does for a business, and what his values are. Living on a ranch in South Texas, they share in "wearing many hats". Not only do they run beef cattle, (owning a COW/ CALF OPERATION); but, Beth, had also struck out on her own, diversifying in 1997, after her late husband Charles Knolle jr., passed away.
Giving a new life and purpose to the old headquarters of her late husband's family large Jersey Farm, she established a B&B/ Event Facility. This endeavor, KNOLLE FARM & RANCH B&B, continues to thrive today, and be a source of surprise and delight, as they discover daily new ways to use this land. Recent years have seen the evolution of an ARTISAN FARM, specializing in FARM to TABLE FOODS. Built around fresh garden produce, and eggs, as well as Stephen's bees and olive orchard, these ventures are all based upon using the land to it's fullest.
Stephen is a Municipal Court Judge in a small community nearby, and keeps himself busy in not only their community, but, is closely tied to the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers, and South Texas Property Rights Assn., both of which Beth sits on the boards of. He stays current by keeping up with private property rights and issues, legal requirements and concerns of landowners and ranchers, as well as new grasses and planting methods, not to mention the myriad of requirements of different agencies in regard to pipeline and utility line land reclamation.
Stephen can often be found on the road, overseeing or running jobs, meeting with past or future landowners, checking on the pastures he has established, or on the ranch, overseeing grass nurseries, and, being what else -

Every successful rancher knows that good pastures are the basis for good cattle, not to mention the role of cultivating grasses to best preserve our land and wildlife as well. Starting his business with, and specializing in, planting grasses for cattle and hay production, (specifically improved Bermuda grass, such as Jiggs Bermuda & Tifton 85), Steve has kept up with the changing dynamics of rural land usage. The last 20 years have seen a shift in much of Texas land to hunting and recreation, as well as one of Texas’ great gifts – oil & gas exploration, (and now windmills), and the needs that accompany these endeavors. Stephen D. Naiser Custom Grass Planting is a full service “Grass Business”, not only offering various services and sorts of grasses; but, specializing in consulting with landowners on how to best choose grasses, plant, cultivate, and use their land, as well as helping re-claim lands after mineral exploration.
Stephen stays current on all aspects of everything involved with grass! He works with Texas A&M University, Cesar Kleberg Wildlife Institute, Extension agents, and the NRCS exploring new ideas, as well as educating others at field days and such, helping fellow land owners to gain knowledge of how to best utilize their ranches for their own specific needs.
Steve’s reputation and business extends throughout the Southwestern United States, operating in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. Steve has been contracted to plant and consult large acreages as far as Arizona, being the only grass planter to be licensed to cross state lines with grass into New Mexico and Arizona.
